ATHENS PANORAMIC TOUR AND ACROPOLIS

Leaving the Port of Piraeus, we reach Athen’s city center on a 20-minute drive. Photo-stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 and the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.
We continue to the Hellenic Parliament (ex-Royal Palace) guarded by the Presidential guards, the famous Evzones. Short stop to admire and take pictures with the Presidential Guards. Our panoramic tour continues as we pass by the National Library build in 1832, the Academy of Arts and the National University of Athens.
On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens. The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally absolute harmony, the monument “putting order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Visit the Herodes Atticus Theatre and its extraordinary acoustics.
Finish our tour and return to the cruise ship on coaches.

An extraordinary day lies ahead on the spectacular Santorini! A volcanic island born from its ashes, offering the most incredible views of the endless blue.
Transferring from the cruise ship to Athinios port by tender boats, then aboard our luxury coaches and head to the highest point of the island, the Patriarchal Monastery of Prophet Elias with its 8 chapels. An altitude of 567m to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of Santorini, and the perfect spot for photos.
Next, we head to the enchanting village of Oia, a picturesque settlement filled with vibrant colors and unique architecture, perched on the dramatic cliffs of the Caldera. Ample time to take in the stunning views and the myriads of enchanting flavors, restaurants and boutiques.

Leaving the port and heading to Mandraki Port where one of the world’s seven wonders, the Colossus of Rhodes statue once stood. We take in the picturesque harbor and the striking Italian architecture before heading towards the Filerimos Monastery, approximately 10 km from the city of Rhodes.
The Filerimos Monastery, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Life-Giving Source, stands out for its unique Gothic style. Built on the site of an earlier Byzantine monastery, it offers a glimpse into a fascinating piece of history. There is time to follow the path of Golgothas, which leads to the huge Cross, while on side there are engravings that represent the Passions of Jesus.
Hop on our buses and on a short ride, we enter through the d’Amboise Gate, part of the impressive medieval walls that surround Rhodes Town, a UNESCO World Heritage marvel.
Within the Old Town, we take a detailed tour of Europe’s best-preserved palace, the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights where the Jerusalem Knights lived, we visit significant Ottoman landmarks such as the Hafiz Ahmed Agha Library, the Suleiman Mosque, and the Ibrahim Pasha Mosque. An amazing day awaits! We leave the port of Kusadasi and head to Ephesus, a majestic marvel nestled in the hills of the Aegean, and one of the largest open-air archaeological museums in the world. Ancient Ephesus, founded by the Greeks in 2000 BC, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis and home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis, which took 120 years to complete.
Ephesus was the wealthiest city in Ionia and later became the second-largest city of the Roman Empire. It holds great significance for Christianity, as it poses one of the Seven Churches of Revelation.
Our approximately one hour guided tour includes the Odeon and the Prytaneion, the marble colonnades of Curetes Street, the Fountain of Trajan, the Temple of Hadrian, the Baths of Scholastica, and the stunning terrace houses. Minutes away we stroll around the impressive, fully reconstructed Library of Celsus and its 12,000 scrolls, and the Agora. Following in the footsteps of Saint Paul, we visit the Great Theatre of Ephesus, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, which could accommodate up to 24,000 people.

We leave the port of Kusadasi, drive to the area of Selcuk and the House of Virgin Mary.
According to tradition Virgin Mary was taken to this stone house by Saint John and lived there for the remainder of her earthy life, making it a sacred site for both Christians and Muslims.
Following our visit, we head to the world-famous archaeological site of Ephesus. Ephesus is an exceptional testimony to the cultural traditions of the Hellenistic, Roman Imperial and early Christian periods. Ephesus holds great significance for Christianity, as it poses one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. The Apostle Paul is believed to have spent two and half years in Ephesus during his third missionary journey
Our one hour guided walking tour includes The Odeon, The State Agora, the Prytaneion, the Memmius Monument, the Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, the Hadrian temple and the latriens. MONASTERY OF SAINT JOHN & GROTTO

Leaving from the port of Skala harbor, a short drive to the impressive Chora of Patmos, a castle-town with elegant, cobbled streets and a traditional charm. Overlooking the hill stands the The Monastery of St. John, founded in 1088 by Saint Christodoulos and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
The Monastery, featuring eight chapels, resembles a Byzantine fortress with fortified walls reaching 15 meters in height, built to prioritize its protection against countless raids, plunders, and conquests by pirates, Saracens, Normans, the Knights of St. John, Ottomans, and Italians.
The Monastery’s Museum houses an impressive collection that includes chalices, crowns, crosses, ancient manuscripts dating back to 1073, as well as religious paintings and icons, including an authentic work by El Greco. Many exhibits from the library, are not open to the public, can be viewed in the museum.
Our tour continues with a visit to the Cave of Apocalypse, where the Apostle John wrote the Gospel and the Book of Revelation (95-97 AD). Inside the cave, you can see the rock believed to have served as his pillow.
Following this unforgettable tour, we board the buses for a short ride back to the port.
